When you walk into the MoreApp office in Barcelona early in the morning, you’ll probably find Gerard already there, starting the day with focus and a smile. As regional team lead, he makes sure the team runs smoothly, because when the team thrives, our customers do too. Gerard does this with positive energy that instantly lifts the office atmosphere and the team knows he is there when they need him.

How it started

The journey at MoreApp started in February 2022, as an intern. Gerard worked in every aspect: marketing, sales, support, design, and data. That broad experience provided a solid foundation and made staying on after the internship a natural choice.

Since day one, Gerard felt he could grow into the role of regional team lead. A key aspect of Gerard’s mindset is maintaining a global view of the company. This approach, combined with excellent coaching from his managers, has guided his development and shaped the leader he is today. "I would say: act with passion and always give 100%. When you are fully committed to a goal, you will shine, and everything becomes worthwhile."

Helping the team shine

What Gerard loves most about being a Regional Team Lead? “From a business perspective, it’s about challenging the established ways. From a people perspective, it’s about helping others grow. Seeing the team shine and take ownership makes me truly proud.”

Challenging oneself and others is a theme that runs deep, always keeping an open mind, questioning everything, and striving to be 1% better every day.

A culture of growth; Book clubs and celebrating wins

At MoreApp, learning never stops. Gerard regularly joins internal training sessions, especially around communication and leadership, and he participates in the MoreApp Book Club, reading two books a year to broaden his horizon.

“One of the books that really influenced me was Never Split the Difference. It changed the way I approach conversations with customers, focusing on understanding their ‘why’.”

For Gerard, the best part of leading a team is seeing people flourish, take ownership, and achieve results. It’s about challenging, staying open-minded, and celebrating progress: no matter how small.

One standout moment was leading the implementation of a new CRM system, a six-month project that reshaped how the team works. “It was a major challenge, but seeing it come to life and improve our daily work made it worth every effort.”

A normal day at the office

The workday usually starts around 7:30, with focus-time before the office gets busy. After catching up on emails and Slack, there’s often a short sync with Arnau, CRO, to discuss priorities. Lunch is usually spent on the terrace, enjoying fresh air, a nice view, good company and of course his famous snack: an apple for dessert.

Afternoons are filled with meetings, teamwork, and supporting others, always ending the day by making sure no one needs help before logging off.

Favourite MoreApp memory

His favourite memory? The yearly team event is always special, but one in particular stands out: “The event in Nantes reminded me why I do this job and why I’m proud to be part of MoreApp. It’s not just work, it’s a community.”
