MoreApp vs Microsoft Forms: Offline Capture for Field Teams (2026)

Microsoft Forms is a good fit for internal surveys, quizzes and polls inside Microsoft 365. Field teams that capture data on site need more: offline capture, mobile apps, 35+ field types and an API on every plan. MoreApp is built for that work, and it connects back to Microsoft 365 through Power Automate.

Microsoft Forms and MoreApp both turn questions into digital forms and send the answers somewhere useful. Microsoft Forms comes with Microsoft 365 and is built for surveys, quizzes and polls. MoreApp is a no-code platform for field data collection: inspections, checklists, reports and job forms filled in on site.

This page compares the two on offline capture, field types, API access, branding, data location and price. We checked Microsoft's own documentation and pricing pages in October 2026, plus Microsoft's Q&A forum for the current state of its API.

Feature-by-feature breakdown

Does MoreApp work offline?

Yes. Your team can fill in and save forms with no signal, and they send once the device reconnects.
Microsoft's Forms documentation describes no offline mode. On a phone, Forms are created in the Office app, which asks for a Microsoft sign-in. Crews in basements, plants and rural sites need the form to open and save wherever they are.

Can I build forms for field work, not just surveys?

Yes. MoreApp's form builder offers 35+ field types for inspections, checklists and job forms.
Microsoft Forms offers choice, text, rating, date, ranking, Likert, file upload and Net Promoter Score questions, and Microsoft points teams that want more advanced question types to Dynamics 365 Customer Voice.

Is the API included in every plan?

Yes. The MoreApp API is included on every plan at no extra cost.
It is built to keep running as your volume grows, so an integration you set up once does not need rework later. In March 2026 a Microsoft Q&A moderator confirmed that Microsoft Graph has no supported endpoint for retrieving Forms responses and suggested a Power Automate flow as the workaround.

Does MoreApp charge per user?

No. Every MoreApp plan includes unlimited users at no extra cost.
Forms is part of a Microsoft 365 licence, and Microsoft lists no standalone purchase. Microsoft 365 is priced per user, from €6.07 a month on Business Basic billed annually. MoreApp adds no per-user fee, so every field worker can have an account whether or not they use Microsoft 365.

Can I use my own branding?

Yes. MoreApp's optional Branding add-on puts your logo and colors on the Web App, iOS and Android apps.
Microsoft describes branding in Forms as limited, with the image as the only thing you can change. For more branding, Microsoft points to Dynamics 365 Customer Voice, which is a separate product.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU. MoreApp's team, servers and sub-processors are all EU-based, with data hosted in the Netherlands.
Microsoft's Forms service description does not say where Forms data is stored and refers readers to the Microsoft Trust Center. With MoreApp, the whole chain stays in the EU.

Are there limits on forms and questions?

No. MoreApp includes unlimited forms on every plan, and pricing follows submission volume.
Microsoft Forms allows up to 400 forms per user, counting forms in the recycle bin, and up to 200 questions per form. Forms with more than 50,000 responses can be exported to CSV but lose summary charts and individual response viewing.

Pricing: MoreApp vs Microsoft Forms

Microsoft Forms is part of Microsoft 365. It is included in Microsoft 365 business, enterprise, frontline and education licences, and Microsoft lists no standalone purchase. Microsoft 365 Business Basic costs €6.07 per user a month billed annually, excluding VAT.

MoreApp has three plans, and all of them include unlimited users and unlimited forms. Branch costs €174 a month billed annually (€190 billed monthly) and includes 700 submissions a month. Tree costs €585 a month billed annually (€638 billed monthly) and includes 2,500 submissions a month. Forest is custom priced. Extra submissions cost €0.40 each on Branch and Tree. MoreApp prices exclude VAT. See full MoreApp pricing →

Microsoft 365 is priced per user. A team of 15 on Business Basic pays about €91 a month and a team of 40 about €243, and that covers the whole Microsoft 365 bundle with Forms as one part. MoreApp's Branch plan costs €174 a month for either team, with unlimited users, while usage stays within 700 submissions a month. If volume runs past that, MoreApp can add a submission tier to your plan, and Tree starts at 2,500 submissions a month.

Forms is the cheaper choice when your team already holds Microsoft 365 licences and needs internal surveys, quizzes or simple registrations, because it adds nothing to what you already pay. MoreApp is the better value when the work happens in the field and needs offline capture, richer field types, Branding and an API behind it.
